Today, you can change the story of a child in Kabira Village, Iganga District, Uganda by sponsoring an orphan at St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels.

St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels is a community-based organization that was established in 2014 with the major aim of supporting the vulnerable children socially, academically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. This organization is based on a foster parenting system and is not affiliated with any political or racial inclination.

St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels was founded by Pamamba Tomasi. In 2018, The Heart That Gives Foundation began assisting St. Elizabeth’s.

A donation of $45 per month will ensure that a child from St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels will receive a balanced diet, as well as housing, clothing and monthly care. Listed below are our deserving orphans waiting for your assistance.

Naigaga Janepher

Janepher is 16 years old is the oldest girl at SEHOA. She has been studying at Jinja Progressive Senior Secondary School, but it taking a break this semester to help take care of the young children at the orphanage. Her parents passed away when she was 8 years old. Her father had cancer. Her mother was in a motorcycle accident and had internal bleeding. Her mother passed away shortly after her father died.

Janepher has now been at SEHOA for 7 years. She is very hardworking and loves painting and cooking. She hopes to one day be a health care worker.

Damba Edward

Damba is 15 years old and attends Kigulu College Namungalwe. His father passed away from kidney failure when he was only 4 years old. His mother could not support her son and left him to his grandmother. Damba lived with his grandmother until she passed away when he was 10 years old. While he was living with his grandmother, he was not attending school. Once he came to SEHOA, he caught up on his education and is now doing very well in school. He likes playing soccer and one day hopes to be an engineer.

Damba is a wonderful roll model to the younger kids at the orphanage. He is very kind and loving to all the children.

Mwami Ibrahim

Ibrahim is 13 years old and is in school at St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels Primary School. Ibrahim’s mother married a man who was not his father. His mother then passed away and his step father would not support him. He was basically on his own and not in school before being brought to SEHOA. Now there is hope for his future. Ibrahim loves to play soccer and is tall for his age. He is shy, but very hardworking

Nuusu Jonathan (Big Smile)

Johnathan is 10 years old and attends school at St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels Primary School. His mother left Jonathan with his father and grandparents when he was only a few months old. His father was a hunter and was injured in a hunting accident when he fell on a sharp tree trunk. He was very poor and did not have access to good medical treatment. His father passed away from the injury. Before his father passed away, he asked SEHOA if they would take Jonathan.

His father knew that the grandparents could not take care of him. Jonathan has the nickname of “Big Smile”. He is a very happy boy and loves music and dancing.

Tracy Mbwali –

Tracy came to SEHOA at the age of 3 and is now 6 years old. It was suspected that her mother was poisoned by the second wife of her fathers. She was taken to live with her grandmother, but then was being taken by SEHOA because
she was being abused. Tracy is the most recent child to come live at SEHOA. She is very quiet around adults, but loves to play and laugh with the other
girls at the home.

Allan Magumba –

Yonnah Byakatonda –

Yonnah came to SEHOA at the age of 8 and is now 12 years old. He is in the 5th grade. He lost his mother from malaria when he was 3, and his father later died from tetanus. The family had no money to treat the father and he suffered tremendously. Yonnah sometimes went three to four days without eating. Yonnah is a kind child and one day he would love to become a teacher.

Tusubira Herbert –

Herbert is eight years old and came to live at St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels at the age of five. Herbert’s father passed away from sickle cell anemia when he was just four years old. His mother tried to raise him, but because of financial reasons, she left him with his grandmother and ran away from home. Herbert’s grandmother soon passed away from asthma, and that’s when he came to live at the orphanage.

Herbert was hit by a motorcycle when he was four and a half years old. Despite the fact that the accident caused a mental disability, Herbert is top of his class at St. Elizabeth’s School. Herbert is a very kind young boy and all the children at the orphanage look after him. He loves to play games and dance.

Babirye Margaret –

Margaret is 10 years old and came to live at St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels at the age of five. Her mother passed away from HIV/AIDS when she was four years old. After her mother passed, her father neglected Margaret and her siblings. He later left them with his mother-in-law, but she could not take care of all her grandchildren. Five months later, Margaret came to live at the orphanage. She is in the third grade and loves to dance. When Margaret is older, she would love to become a nurse.

Kamo Emmanuel –

Emmanuel (nine years old) and his brother, Wilber (11 years old) came to St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels in 2015. Their mother died from a heart attack and not long afterwards, their father passed away. The boys then went to live with their grandmother until her death. Emmanuel is grade three and is academically number one in his class. He also loves to dance.

Maiso Wilber –

Wilber (11 years old) and his brother, Emmanuel (nine years old) came to St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels in 2015. Their mother died from a heart attack and not long afterwards, their father passed away. The boys then went to live with their grandmother until her death. Wilber is in grade four. He is an average student and is a very good soccer player.

Ali Isabirye –

This is Ali Isabirye. He is 17 years old and is an orphan at St. Elizabeth’s Home of Angels. Ali’s father and mother both passed away from HIV when he was a young boy. Ali’s grandparents took care of him until his grandfather passed away. His grandmother could no longer help him, so she then gave him to the orphanage. Ali is very bright and would eventually like to continue his education by attending a trade school or college. He will finish his last year of high school this year. A monthly donation of $45 will help provide food and clothing for him. Please help Ali have a bright future.

Caroline Nakayega –

Caroline came to SEHOA at the age of 3 and is 6 years old. Caroline is at the top of her class in school. Caroline’s mother died from cancer when she was 6 months old. Her father had three wives and when her mother died, he left she and her siblings at their grandparents home. At two, her father passed away and at this point, the grandparents could not take care of all the children. The grandparents then gave her to SEHOA.

Daudi Waiswa –

Daudi came to SEHOA at the age of 5 and is now 9 years old. Daudi is in the third grade. He father was a security guard and was shot and killed by thieves while at work. His mother took him to the grandparents home and ran away. When the grandfather passed away, the grandmother could no longer raise Daudi due to financial reasons. Daudi is very intelligent and loves to smile.

Elvis Kiiwa –

Elvis came to SEHOA at the age of 2 and is now 5 years old. His father passed away and his mother abandoned him. Elvis is a very wise little boy, is not very talkative, but is always smiling. He loves to play with the other children and loves to keep his shirt tucked in his pants.

Mercy Mirabeau Nabirye –

Mercy came to SEHOA at the age of 4 and is now 7 years old. She is in the first grade and is very shy. Mercy lost her parents at the age of 2 years old. Her mother died from a surgery complication after giving birth to her younger sibling, who also passed away. Her father died shortly after her mother died. He was hit by a motorcycle and was in the hospital for 5 months, but unfortunately died from complications from the accident.

Phiona Mbwali –

Phiona came to SEHOA at the age of 3 and is now 10 years old. Phiona’s father died from HIV/AIDS and her mother from cancer. She was living with an aunt, but was given to the home for financial reasons. Phiona loves to dance and play netball. She is very good with helping to take care of the younger children at the orphanage.

Denis John Mugweri –

Denis came to SEHOA at the age of 4 and is now 11 years old. Both of his parents are deceased. Denis was found on a street with a group of homeless children. Denis is a seriously good athlete and loves to play soccer and ride bicycles. He is also a very good artist.
